Itinerary
Drive through the monumental centre (corso Umberto, town hall, royal palace, San Carlo theatre, Umberto gallery, Posillipo, Mergellina, and Castel dell'Ovo). visit of the National Archeological Museum or to the Nativity museum in the St. Martin's Carthusian monastery (Certosa di San Martino).You can walk through the fish market and visit of the oldest part of the city (St. Januarius Cathedral, cloister of Santa Chiara, Spaccanapoli, etc.).In Caserta I will drop you off right in front of the Royal palace.The palace was completed in 1780, resulting in a huge complex of 1200 rooms and 1790 windows, for a total expenditure of 8,711,000 ducats.The Royal Park extends over three kilometers long, with South-North Development, on 120 acres. At the center of the rear facade of the building branch two long parallel paths which are interposed between a series of beautiful fountains, starting from the northern limit of the Italian Garden.
